In a strange event, about 10000 youth take an oath not to have a love marriage without parents consent. They may fall in love, but they won’t marry against the wishes of their parents. As per reports by TOI, on Valentine’s day about 10,000 youngsters will take an oath of not marrying without their parents’ consent. The event has been organised by Hasyameva Jayate which is a voluntary organisation run by laughter therapist Kamlesh Maslawala. About 12 schools are taking part in this event where boys and girls pledge to marry only if their parents are happy with it. According to reports by TOI, Masalawala said,” “These days, many youngsters fall in love and take an impulsive decision to get married.
Many even run away from homes and get married, but such relationships turn out to be short-lived. We want to promote the importance of parents’ guidance when it comes to taking such a big decision of life.” Some of the schools that are participating in the event are Sanskar Bharti in Palanpur Patiya, Presidency High School in Adajan, Sanskar Kunj Gyanpith, Swaminarayan MV Vidyalaya, Sun Grace Vidyalaya, Navchetna Vidyalaya in Varachha, and Gyan Ganga Vidyalaya, as per reports by TOI
Poet Mehul Choksi is one of the organisers, and he shared the special oath with TOI that reads, “Many youngsters antagonise their parents when the latter raise objections to their love marriage. Many even run away from homes and get married, but such relationships turn out to be short-lived. By taking such an oath, these students will be better committed to respect the feelings of their parents.” Moreover, a class XI commerce student of Sanskar Bharti said to the esteemed portal, “I will be taking this oath for the sake of my parents. We want to promote the importance of parents’ guidance when it comes to taking such a big decision of life.”
