Imam ul Haq apologizes to Watson for heated reaction on the pitch

The PSL final for this year was one amazing ride. While Quetta Gladiators proved they were ready for the victory, Peshawar Zalmi put up a good sport. However, rather than celebrating the winners, there’s another incident which stood out during the final match.

Quetta Gladiators’ Shane Watson was seen having a verbal spat with Peshawar Zalmi’s Imam ul Haq, after he got run out. Although nobody knows what transpired between the two, Imam ul Haq was however seen giving a send off to Watson, once he got out.

Imam ul Haq cleared after precautionary tests

Imam’s reaction then landed him in hot waters with the public. He received a lot of backlash on Twitter following which, the Zalmi batsman posted a public apology.

“Yesterday’s incident happened in the heat of the moment. My reaction to Watson’s inappropriate abusive comments was avoidable, for which I apologise. It was a good match and a great HBL PSL 2019, let’s enjoy its success. Congrats to Gladiators and Watson for the trophy and awards,” wrote Imam on Twitter.

Although Watson is yet to reply, the Australian was seen not holding a grudge and having a great time during his stay for the PSL matches.

“Saying farewell to a few of the main men @quetta.gladiators. It has been such an amazing 5 weeks with my time in Karachi being the absolute highlight. What a way to finish things off last night,” the Quetta Gladiators’ batsman shared on his social media before flying back home with only good memories of Pakistan.
