This year will see Eid al-Fitr 2019 begin on the evening of Tuesday, 4 June and end on the evening of Wednesday, 5 June. After a month full of Ramadan aka Ramzan fasting, the day finally arrives to bring the fasting to an end. Eid is celebrated on the basis of the sighting of the moon of Shawwal, the 10th month in the Islamic calendar. The festive month is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour by the Muslims.
