Few weeks ago, Dean Ambrose turned on Seth Rollins and walked out of the ring leaving everyone shocked. The question marks over the ‘why’ persist even as the situation between them turned dire resulting in a matchup at the WWE TLC with Ambrose defending his intercontinental title. As Rollins went looking for the reason on WWE Raw, he came up empty handed and to make things worse, The Lunatic Fringe turned on him.

With Rollins seeking an explanation, Ambrose threw a barrage of riddles Rollins’ way implying The Shield were all doomed to pay for their sins. The Architect decided that he wouldn’t allow himself to be played and left the building despite attempts at getting a response throughout the night. But that turned out to be a ruse to lure Ambrose into the ring. Once The Lunatic Fringe had turned his attention to berating the audience, Rollins struck, briefly getting the better of his former brother with a flurry of punishing strikes. But things turned when Ambrose caught him with a filthy low blow, a pair of Dirty Deeds and a simple warning to never interrupt him again.

At the start of the night, Stephanie McMahon brokered a deal that got an angry Braun Strowman what he wanted – his hands on WWE Raw Acting General Manager Baron Corbin. Strowman would get his Universal Title Match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble if The Monster Among Men beat Corbin at WWE TLC. If Corbin wins, however, the Acting GM would get the permanent General Manager post he had been eyeing.

Unfortunately for Corbin, Strowman still had an ace up his sleeve after leading Raw to a clean sweep at the WWE Survivor Series. He got to select the stipulation, and The Monster Among Men chose a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match which means The Lone Wolf has a tall task ahead especially since he loses all authority if he falls to Strowman.
