Kohli, who has been rested from the ongoing T20I series had scored 2,102 runs at an average of 48.88 — which is better than Rohit. The 29-year-old Kohli also had scored these runs in 62 matches with the highest score on an unbeaten 90.
Fellow Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, on the other hand scored his 1,000 runs in the shortest format of the game after the Windies skipper Carlos Brathwaite won the toss and asked the hosts to bat.
