Lopetegui, 51, is currently leading the Spanish national team in Russia, but will take over at the recent UEFA Champions League winners once La Roja’s tournament comes to an end.

Replacing the out-going Zinedine Zidane, who led Real to two Club World Cup and three Champions League titles in a little over two years, the former FC Porto coach will make his return to club football after leading the Portuguese side from 2014-2016.
