Roughly 300 Brazilian fans were on hand to welcome the national squad upon its arrival late Wednesday at a downtown hotel in Saint Petersburg, where the Selecao will take on Costa Rica in their second World Cup Group E match.
The group of fans were waiting behind a security perimeter when Brazil’s squad arrived at around 11.45 pm at the back entrance to their hotel on Nevsky Prospekt.

The fans shouted out their support for Paris Saint-Germain superstar forward Neymar Jr. and other key members of the squad, which will hold an official practice at Saint Petersburg Stadium on Thursday.
Brazil will be looking to get back on track on Friday after drawing 1-1 in its opening match against Switzerland, while Costa Rica will need at least a draw to stay alive in the 2018 World Cup.
